For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. -

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation
- 1. Pre heat oven to 160C
2. Weigh butter, golden syrup, dark brown sugar and milk into "Closed lid"
3. Melt for 5 min/90C/s2
4. Add in Bicarb and stir for 10secs/sp3, let mix cool for 5-10mins
5. Add egg and mix 5secs/sp5
6. Add in Plain Flour, ginger and mixed spice and mix 5 secs/sp4, scrape down and mix again if necessary.
7. Pour into mini loaf pans and bake for 25 mins.
8. To make the icing, mix lemon juice and icing sugar in a bowl until smooth and drizzle over cakes once they are cool.
