      Recipe is created for
      TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. Add almonds to Closed lid for 3 sec, spd 6 (or to your preference, I like my pieces bigger for the crunch factor). Set aside.

  2. Add dates to Closed lid for 5 sec, spd 6 or until crumbly. Add all other ingredients inluding almonds and mix Counter-clockwise operation 1 min, spd 2 until combined.

  3. Take teaspoon sized portions and roll into balls and then into coconut.  Should make aprox 20 balls.

Tip

I have amended to add peanut butter or you could use syrup as others have suggested to help bind.

Hi, I used an almond nut butter as my daughter is allergic to peanuts. This was an easy and tasty treat to make. Thanks.

    Thank you, great recipe.

I don't like peanut butter so used Tahini spread instead. Worked great!
I also soaked the dates for a couple of minutes first and was not crumbly.

    Will definitely make again.
