Recipe's preparation

    Base
  1. Grease tart tin, or 20cm springform tin with butter and line base with

    baking paper.

Place the Tim Tams in TM bowl and chop for 3 seconds on speed 7.

Add melted butter and mix for 4 seconds on speed 7.

Place crumb mixture into tin and press down with the back of a spoon. Make sure it covers the base and a little up the sides as well.

Chill in the fridge for 15 mins.

Preheat oven to 160 degrees celcius.

  2. Filling

Place chocolate in the TM bowl and chop for 20 secs on speed 10.

Add cream and cook for 3 mins at 50 degrees on speed 5.

Leave for 3 minutes until cooled slightly - then add the egg yolks and vanilla.

Mix together for 7 seconds on speed 3.

Pour into the chilled tart case.

Bake for 25 mins then remove from the oven. (Filling will still be a bit runny in the middle, but should be set on the outsides).

    Cool completely in the tin.

    Serve with cream and raspberries.

  • I'm planning on making this,

    Submitted by melhusband on 2. April 2016 - 21:22.

I'm planning on making this, but am just wondering if everyone is putting it in the frige after it has cooled?  We live in Far North Queensland so I'm just a bit worried it won't set.  Thanks tmrc_emoticons.-)

  • I love tim tams so i thought

    Submitted by gingerchef_jess on 21. August 2014 - 00:31.

I love tim tams so i thought i'd give this a shot and was not disappointed and the family loved it. I didn't put the biscuit base as far up the sides as i should have but it still set enough in the pan well (but i think i cooked it an extra 5-10 min to make sure it was set). It was a nice rich flavour, but i think its a one piece at a time cake, which means more for tomorrow tmrc_emoticons.D

  • Made this for the first time

    Submitted by browneyedgirl on 21. April 2014 - 18:15.

Made this for the first time and it was such a hit that I didn't get a taste.  It was requested again this Easter weekend and again it was gone before I got a chance to taste.  Based on how quickly it's disappeared, I'd say it's a delicious dessert.  Easy to make as well.  I'll have to make it just for little ole me one day soon  tmrc_emoticons.;)

  • Totally yum. A heads up on

    Submitted by elenore1973 on 25. February 2013 - 06:35.

Totally yum. A heads up on how long it takes to set would have been handy because though I made it in the morning it still hadn't set by the afternoon tea it was intended for. Had to set it in the fridge though I'm not sure if that was the intent of the recipe. I live in Central Queensland and don't think it would have set otherwise due to the heat. I also found I had to bake it for just a little longer but this is common with oven variations I find. My husband was pretty pleased it didn't set in time because he got to eat it.It will be something I'll make again for sure but preferably the night before I need it. Morning for a nighttime dessert would also be enough time. Really delicious.
