  1. Place onion & garlic into mixing bowl - chop 3 sec /speed 7 - scrape bown sides

  2. Add butter and mushrooms - saute 3 min/ Varoma/Counter-clockwise operation speed 1

  3. Add beef stock liquid to bowl.  Place mince in Varoma tray and break up with spatula.  Cover with lid.  Cook 10mins/Varoma/Counter-clockwise operation /speed 2.

  4. Remove lid from Varoma, place on the bench and use spatula or fork to break up and stir the mince.  To the bowl add all remaining ingredients except cornflour.  Replace Varoma tray.  Cook 10mins/ Varoma / Counter-clockwise operation/speed 2.

  5. Check mince again - if cooked, place Varoma tray on Varoma lid.  Mix cornflour with a little cold water in MC and add to bowl.  Tip mince into bowl and cook 5 mins/100C/ Counter-clockwise operation/speed 1, with MC removed and TM basket on mixing bowl lid.

If the mince is still raw, cook for a further 3 min / Varoma / Counter-clockwise operation / speed 1

  6. Place Stroganoff in server (pre-heat with boiled water) and cook rice as per EDC.  You could also steam some veggies in the Varoma tray while rice is cooking.

Tip

Also great with mashed potato or pasta.

Grate other veggies into the mix and hide from the kids - great way to get them in without them knowing.

This is great for kids as it is not spicy and the mince is often favoured to strips of beef (which depending on your butcher can become chewy)
