Janine's Stewed Figs - Thermie and Friends
- 350 g dried figs
- 50 g sugar
- 30 g lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 80 g Sherry, White Wine or champagne

Recipe's preparation
- add dried figs to your thermoserver and cover with boiling water, Leave for 30mins or more. Drain and set aside.
- De stalk figs and cut into thirds. Add figs and all other ingredients (except alcohol) to Thermomix jug. Set cooking 10 mins, varoma temp, reverse speed 1.
- One finished add the chosen alcohol and stir though reverse, speed 2 a few seconds.
- put in 2 small jars. I use one now and freeze one for later.
Use the stewed figs to top desserts (cheesecake, puddings, serve with cake etc), also serve with toast, crackers, add to porridge and serve with cheese boards.
