Country chicken pie
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 onion
- 1 carrot
- 1 celery stalk
- 2 Medium potatoes
- 150g bacon roughly chopped
- 500g diced chicken breast
- 1/3 cup peas
- 1/3 cup Corn
- 2 tsp Chicken stock powder
- 3 tbsp cornflour
- 1/2 tsp sage,dried
- 30g Butter
- 250g Milk
- 115g water

For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. -

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation
- 1. Place onion, garlic, celery, bacon into bowl and chop 5 sec, sp 5
2. Add butter and saute for 5mins, varoma, reverse spoon speed
3. Add butterfly and place in diced carrot, potato, chicken, stock powder, sage, milk, water and cornflour
4. Cook 15min, varoma, reverse spoon speed
5. Last 2min of cook time, stop blades and add in peas and corn.
6. Place chicken mixture into pie maker with pastry or you can use a pie dish and place in the oven until pastry is golden.
