For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation
- Preheat oven to 180°C
- Add dates to the bowl and chop for 5 seconds, speed 5.
- Add in the walnuts, sugar, butter, baking soda and salt. Mix for 3 seconds, speed 1.
- Add in the boiling water and mix for 10 seconds on speed 3. Leave to cool (approx 20-30minutes).
- Add in the flour and baking powder, mix for 10seconds on speed 3.
- Pour into a prepared loaf tin and bake for 55 minutes, or until skewer comes out cleanly.
