Submitted by Mums kitchen on 12. June 2015 - 11:57.

Made this yesterday - I used 150gm of sugar and cooked 1 large loaf for longer instead of 2 smaller loaves. Worked out perfectly!

  • Made this for morning tea

    Submitted by JudyD on 1. March 2015 - 14:55.

Made this for morning tea today. Reduced the sugar to 100g and may even reduce it further next time. I didn't wait for the mix to cool before adding the flour etc. Divided it between my small loaf tin and regular loaf tin. Delicious and went down very well with the family.

  • made this today, very easy

    Submitted by Flip99 on 14. September 2014 - 13:57.

made this today, very easy recipe and very tasty. I too reduced sugar to 100g and omitted walnuts as it's for school.  next time I think I'll just put the whole mixture in one loaf tin as I would have liked more loaf in each slice but I only have the std size loaf tins which were probably too big but definitely worth a try! tmrc_emoticons.8)

I love this recipe.  I make it without walnuts for kids and with walnuts for adults and both great.  I also cut sugar to about 100g and still tastes great!
