      Recipe is created for
      TM 5
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation

  1. Grease 2 'nut loaf'- roll tins.

Add dates to Thermomix. Chop using turbo 2 seconds twice. This is very loud.

Add butter, sugar and water. Cook 5 minutes, 100*, .5 reverse speed.

    Cool. Turn oven to 180*C.

When mixture has cooled. Sift in flour and bicarb soda. Add egg. Mix reverse 2.5 for 1 minute.

Add in walnuts. Mix in reverse 2.5 for 30 seconds.

Pour mixture evenly between tins. Bake upright in oven for 30-40 minutes.

Remove from oven and let stand for 10 minutes before cooling on wire rack.

    Serve with butter.

    Freezes well.

You can substitute pecans for walnuts.

Ideal for school snacks as it freezes really well.
