Date & Walnut Self Saucing Pudding

Ingredients

Pudding

  • 115 grams pitted dates
  • 80 grams walnuts
  • 25 grams Butter
  • 230 grams Self Raising Flour
  • 80 grams brown sugar
  • 170 grams Milk

Sauce

  • 460 grams water
  • 50 grams Butter
  • 50 grams brown sugar

Recipe's preparation

    Pudding
  1. Place dates and walnuts in mixer bowl, mix 8 seconds, speed 7, MC on, set aside. 

     

    Place butter in mixer bowl and melt 1 minute, 50 degrees, speed 2.

     

    Add remaining pudding ingredients including walnut mixture and mix 10 seconds, speed 5. 

     

    Pour into pudding bowl (10 cup capacity)

     

    Rinse bowl thoroughly 

  2. Sauce
  3. In rinsed bowl add all sauce ingredients and mix 2 1/2 minutes, 90 degrees, speed 2.

     

    Carefully pour over pudding mixture

  4. Cook in 180 degree oven for 35-40 minutes or until top of pudding is just set.
