  • 50 g Cold Butter, Chopped
  • 150 g cream
  • 1 egg
  • 100 g Milk
  • dash vanilla extract

Recipe's preparation

    How to:
  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C/200fan
    Line a baking tray with baking paper.

    1. Combine the flour, sugar and butter, 10secs/sp7. Scrape.

    2. Add the cream, egg, milk, essence 30secs/sp4. It will be a very sticky mixture.

    3. Turn out onto a well floured bench and press into a 2cm oblong.

    4. Either cut into rounds using a scone cutter, or, cut into triangle shapes using a knife.

    5. Place onto the prepared tray, just touching, and brush lightly with milk.

    6. Bake for 12-15mins, until golden.

    7. Remove from oven and wrap in a clean t-towel to keep warm and soft.

    8. Serve warm with jam and dollops of cream.

    I made them thick so they rose higher and left it for 15 min in oven

    Am eating smothered with butter and homemade strawberry jam!!
