Hazelnut Japonaise Torte

  • 5 Egg Whites.
  • 275 grams caster sugar
  • 150 grams hazelnut meal
  • 430 grams Nutella
  • 600 --- mls thickened cream
  • Cocoa powder for serving

Recipe's preparation

    Method
  1. 1. Preheat oven to 160 degrees.  Add Butterfly in TM bowl. Then add the 5 egg whites. 3 - 4 mins/speed 3.5 or until soft peaks form. While mixing gradually add sugar.

     

    2. Empty TM bowl into a medium nowl and fold in hazelnut meal. Clean out TM bowl.

    3. Place 1/3 of mixture into a 3 cake tins (of the same size) and cook for 30 mins.

     

    4. In a clean TM bowl add butterfly and 600ml of thickened cream. Whip cream 40secs - 2 mins / speed 3.5

     

    5. Once the layers are cooled. Place Nutella in microwave bowl for 10 - 20 secs to help spread over the layers.

    6. Place first torte on cake board, coat with nutella, then cream. Do this for each layer torte, nutella, cream.

     

    7. Dust top with cocoa powder
