Mild Pear Honey & Cinnamon Muffins

  • 150 grams WholeGrain Wheat
  • 150 grams plain flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • pinch salt
  • 100 g brown sugar
  • 75 grams Butter, (cubed)
  • 150 grams Milk
  • 60 gram honey
  • dash maple syrup
  • 2 eggs
  • 250 grams tinned pears drained. (OR Banana roughly chopped)

Recipe's preparation

  1. Make sure bowl and lid is very dry.   Place wheat in Closed lid place a small bit of paper towl between MC and lid to keep the flour in.  1 minute Speed 9

    Preheat oven to 180C

    Add Plain Flour, baking powder, bicarb soda, cinnamon, salt and brown suger.  Do 3 -5 bursts on Turbo to mix well.  Set aside in a dry bowl.

    Place butter in Closed lid 1:30 at 50C on speed 4.

    Add Milk, Honey, maple syrup, eggs and pears (or banana's).  10-20 seconds speed 4.

    Add back in dry ingriedients.  5-10 Seconds on speed 4 (until just combined).

    Pour into Muffin tin (I lined with patty papers).  Bake for 20 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean.




These muffins are fairly plain, almost savoury in taste.
