      TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Yummo, nice fast filling breakfast option. Makes a BIG bowl so I've doubled it to get 3 serves. Much nicer than the packet porridges (too sweet!) and more filling too

I have made this for breaky each morning for the past week and it is delicious... and that is coming from someone that has never been much of a fan of porridge.. I used various nuts including pecans, almonds and hazelnuts and I also tried it with a small drizzle of honey some mornings and maple syrup others... I didn't grate the nuts very fine and it added a nice crunch. I also used flax seeds Instead of chia seeds because that's all I had... great winter breaky..

Really yummy, it's sweet from the banana and the nuts add nice crunch. My only recommendation is to eat it as soon as you can after cooking as it is a bit gluggy if you leave it for 10 minutes (but that's all porridge so not a reflection on this recipe!)

This was very good, I added a drizzle of maple syrup to finish it. Mine seemed to come out very hot for some reason, whereas it doesn't normally on the standard porridge. It certainly gives it something special, like buying a Carman's sachet promises, but doesn't completely deliver, whereas this is lovely and fresh and tasty!

I agree, this is a really nice change from traditional porridge! The banana and chia seeds really addded to the texture of the porridge and also made it feel more 'substantial'. I'll be making this again. Thanks for sharing! tmrc_emoticons.)

    Submitted by ThermoExperiments on 23. January 2015 - 08:32.

This porridge is lovely. A nice change from the traditional, plain porridge.

This recipe makes a very large serve, more like 2 normal serves for someone like me!

I really liked the addition of chia seeds. Oh, I milled the oats with the nuts and I also added 1/2 tspn of vanilla bean paste with the milk.

    Thanks!
