If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Cook 10 minutes, 98 degrees, "Counter-clockwise operation" speed 2. MC in place.
Remove MC and cook 15 mins 98 degrees, "Counter-clockwise operation" speed 2
Groats should be cooked but still crunchy

Weight carrots into Thermomix bowl
Grate carrots 4-6 seconds/speed 5
To assemble add carrots, currants, spices to bowls of buckwheat porridge and stir. Top with maple syrup or honey and sprinkle over chopped walnuts. Serve
