Carrot cake Buckwheat Porridge

Basic Buckwheat Porridge

  • 160 grams Buckwheat groats
  • 180 grams water
  • 390 grams Milk
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla essense

  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • pinch Nutmeg
  • 15 grams currants or sultanas
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey
  • 1 tablespoon walnuts chopped

      Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipe's preparation

    Basic Buckwheat Porridge
  1. Weigh in all ingredients for Basic Buckwheat Porridge

  2. Cook 10 minutes, 98 degrees, speed 2. MC in place.

  3. Remove MC and cook 15 mins 98 degrees, speed 2

  4. Groats should be cooked but still crunchy

  8. Weight carrots into Thermomix bowl

  9. Grate carrots 4-6 seconds/speed 5

  10. To assemble add carrots, currants, spices to bowls of buckwheat porridge and stir.  Top with maple syrup or honey and sprinkle over chopped walnuts.  Serve
