i found this recipe after wanting to create the dish i had eaten at a trendy cafe years ago.
This is pretty spot on!
I set it up like a smoothie bowl (just not cold!), with coconut, sunflower seeds & pepitas, and some yoghurt. omitted the sultanas. thanks for the recipe. wholesome and delicious!
yes the serving is a bit much,so would definitely think of halving it next time.

Carrot cake porridge - Delicious! A great change from regular porridge. I half the ingredients for a single serve, chop the carrot 3 seconds speed 7 and cook for 7 minutes. I don't add (yukky) sultanas. I have used milk/water and coconut milk/water with good results each time. Five stars! Thanks for sharing!
Nice flavour but def makes 2
Nice flavour but def makes 2 serves! Will try halving it next time. Carrot didn't cook either, but I didn't scrape down the bowl after cutting, so will try that and cut it longer and see how it goes.
It reminds me of halloween in
It reminds me of halloween in the US! I must try it with pumpkin next time.
When its warm its like a big hug and when its cold its lighter, but still filling. Yep, this is a great recipe! Thanks for sharing.
Loved it! Definitely enough
Loved it! Definitely enough for two adults.
Agreed with others - way too
Agreed with others - way too big for a single serve, I dropped the oats back to 40g and probably added 120ml milk and 100ml water. Was a nice change for brekkie.
Loved this recipe!
Loved this recipe! Delicious. I used vanilla yoghurt and frozen blueberries. And ate way too much as it was yum. The toddler seems to like it too which is great, especially with the carrot in it!
Thanks for a different brekky
Thanks for a different brekky idea! Very tasty and I can't wait to try some variations of this idea, so many options!
Yum! Left the sultanas out
Yum! Left the sultanas out and used coconut milk (coco quench). Sweet enough for me (althought I don't eat much sweet stuff)
Fabulous recipe. A great
Fabulous recipe. A great change from regular porridge. Makes enough for 3 serves
Easy to adapt. I make this a
Easy to adapt.
I make this a couple of times a week and have told a few friends (both with and without TM). It's easy to substitute things you don't like or can't eat - almonds for walnuts. Also, I add half an apple. Thanks for sharing.
An enjoyable twist on an old
An enjoyable twist on an old favourite - plenty of room to personalise as well.
Ive not tried with apple i'm
Ive not tried with apple i'm sure it would be yummy the texture would be much softer than the carrot.

This was different. It definately needs the yoghurt, honey and blueberries. I used sunflower seeds Instead of walnuts. I think it will be one of those dishes where the more often you eat it, the more you will like it.
My hubby and I both loved
My hubby and I both loved this porridge! So much so that my usually porridge hating husband asked me to make it again the next day! Yum, and extra points for getting some veggies in for brekkie
Very different and quite
Very different and quite yummy, the portion is massive though, I think it serves 2-3

I added a little too much milk I think but other then that was great and something to help change up the normal breakfast food!
This will definately feed me
This will definately feed me 2 mornings! I love carrot cake so this was delish for breaky, just on its own (no berries or yoghurt etc)

I'm not usually a fan of porridge but did enjoy this. I used strawberries on top instead as didn't have blueberries.
Brilliant!! This was great,
Brilliant!! This was great, LOVE that its got veggies in it for breakfast!! My son gobbled it up for breaky (added win!). I probably would double mixture next time for 2 plus bub (we are big eaters).
Great idea! I will definitely
Great idea! I will definitely halve the portions next time as I think it serves 2 better than one. I didn't have sultanas so I added a dried date with the carrot at the start and that was enough sweetness for this dish.
Great! This is a quick,
Great!
This is a quick, easy and delicious breakfast treat with the added bonus of veggies too. Is definitely going to become a regular breaky in this household. Thanks for sharing.

This was delicious! I added a little brown sugar on top and halved the recipe!
This is definitely a portion
This is definitely a portion for two. I found the carrots a little chunky but otherwise delicious. Nice and thick, just how I like porridge, and still good warmed up the next day. I used yoghurt on top
Yum..was delicious!

I made this the other day, intending on giving it to my baby, pureed, for something different for brekky.. but it was so yum, I ate it. Going to be a new regular breakfast!
This was really yummy! Agree
This was really yummy! Agree with some of the comments though that it's not just a one person serve - this gave me two serves. Also, I had no walnuts in the house, so used almonds, which worked really well, and I sprinkled with some craisins rather than blueberries (I didn't have any of them either!)
I made this and I love it!
I made this and I love it! I've had it for breakfast for the last 3 days & will be making a fresh batch tomorrow. A big hit with my 2 year old & yet to try with my 4 year old. Thanks
This is my once a week treat.
This is my once a week treat. I eat one bowl hot for breakfast and have the other cold for lunch. Both ways are great. Love the colour and the slight crunch of the carrot.
This was so delicious, thanks

I whipped this up as a weekend breakfast treat. Tasted a bit like warm carrot cake batter. Love that the recipe was sugar free. i just drizzled a little honey & extra walnuts to serve. This recipe made enough for 2 serves.
