For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. -

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation
- 1. Place coconut into bowl and mill 20 sec / speed 9.
2. Add water and soak 5 mins.
3. Cook 3 mins /100 °C / speed 2.
4. Mix 1 min / speed 9.
5. Pour mixture into a nut milk bag or muslin cloth & drain into a heat proof bowl. Once cool, firmly squeeze to extract milk. Retain coconut pulp & see tips below.
Store in a glass jar in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze.

This recipe makes 100mls. I was expecting it to make more. It's nice and thick though so I would make it twice, to get more cream if I were to make it again.
