      Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation

  1. Place flour, sugar, salt & vanilla and mix 20 sec/speed 4.
  2. Leave motor running on speed 4 & add eggs and melted butter. Once mixed, slowly add 1/2 milk so not to get lumps. Stop & scrap down sides with silicon spatular. Recommence motor on 3.5 and add remaining milk - all up the mixing should take 2 to 2:30 mins. Once mixed, allow mixture to stand for at least 20 minutes in fridge.
  3. Heat shallow non-stick crepe pan (can use a small amount of butter), and pour batter into hot pan. Swish the mixture so it is a thin layer. Turn over once edges start to lift.
  4. Repeat with remaining batter and serve warm.

Tip

Milk can be replaced with 250 g buttermilk.
