For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. -

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation
- Weigh up 450gm water in the mixing bowl "Closed lid" .
Add 6 eggs to the simmering basket and place in mixing bowl.
Cover with lid and measuring cup.
Set for 10 mins / Varoma / Spd 1.
As soon as it is finished, lift out the simmering basket using the spatula, and rinse eggs in cold water.

Tip
The timings and amount of water would be the same even if you use less or more eggs.
