I was looking for a quick and simple way to make porridge as it always overflows in the microwave. This recipe is amazing! Perfect texture and makes enough to last 2 days for me and my 2 kids. I add mashed banana and strawberries when serving. Thank you!

I often make 3 serves for my 1yo and I. I refrigerate the left overs and reheat with a little extra liquid the next morning for an even quicker and easier breakfast.
Some additions I often add - chia seeds, mashed banana, dessicated coconut - in individual serves at the end of cooking time.

Loved this recipe, so easy. I made mine with only water rather than both milk and water due to intolerances and it turned out perfect! Would highly reccomend. I also added 1 tsp of raw sugar, a sprinkle of cinnamon and a few sultanas in the last minute. So delicious! I love how this recipe gives you amount for just one serving thankyou!

Spelt porridge. Using rolled
Spelt porridge. Using rolled spelt, I reverse the above liquid quantities, 90 of milk, 110 of water. 9 mins at 90 degrees. Nice additions are a few tablespoons of seeds milled before adding the other ingredients (just not linseeds, they make it oily), and a small handful of sultanas.
Found this recipe after using
Found this recipe after using the one in the recipe in the everyday cooking book. The one in the book was unsuccessful. Didn't cook in time given. I pulverized the oats as sugested! This takes away the texture of porridge. So I'll try this one tomorrow..
