Tip

Keep in the fridge and give a bit of a shake before you use as it will settle a bit on the bottom.

There are quicker recipes that blitz the rice before cooking which I use if I'm in a hurry, but I think this one results in a nicer, creamier texture.

Jane Windeyer: Hi Jane, it is my understanding that any fresh milks made from nuts, rice or coconut will only last a few days in the fridge, best kept in a glass container. I had this one in the fridge for three days and it was ok, unsure if it would've been ok still at day four.

I made this a couple of days ago and the taste is quite unique and will take time getting used to but it turned out nice and thick. I added a little rice malt syrup to sweeten it up just a little. tmrc_emoticons.)
