      TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Quick and easy. I maybe cut the chicken pieces too big but at 20 minutes I had to stir them a bit and cook for another 5 minutes as there were heaps of raw pieces still.

Perfect - on a caravan holiday and was panicking about how to cook some chicken & veg for my recouperating dog. Placed chicken & frozen veg in and voila ! Will use this recipe for future fillings for sandwiches, flat breads & pizza toppings. Need to be prepared when on the move 👏🏻

I added a tablespoon of TM vege stock to the water and it was delicious. Very healthy way to cook chicken with no added fat and lot's of flavour. Win win.

Great, easy for lunches. I make this with whatever herbs I've got growing but always use cummin seed. It slips through the simmering basket & gives the water, which I always freeze & use for stock, a beautiful flavour. I portion it flat into zip lock bags & can always make my grandkids a quick easy lunch in either a roll or sandwich. I put in frozen in summer so it's perfect by the time they eat it. I also add a whole or half finely chopped onion. I don't cook it, just throw in the basket. Thanks for this. Smile

I can’t believe it has taken me so long to shred my own chicken for sandwiches! My DD will only eat a sandwich if it has Chicken Breast Supreme in it & I really don’t like deli meats for obvious reasons but I made this last night & she loved it! So easy but so good, thank you for sharing 👌🏻

This is great it keeps really well in the fridge. I use it through the week for lunches, either wraps or salads.  I then use the stock for risotto.

    Submitted by snskitchen on 21. February 2016 - 09:54.

Love this!!!!!   I steam and poach using this and add various herb and wine to the water.  I use whole breasts and swap them between the varoma and basket.

I have also roasted beef in the oven and then shredded.

I then freeze in small portions so I can have on hand to use as required.
