Hi, I’m having constant error messages of c144 and c160 and my machine no longer works at all. Need some advise. Please help.

Hi, my machine keeps making the same two errors as well- can someone please help? I have been midway cooking so many meals and it’s getting very frustrating

I just had the same C160 error code after talking up the machine to my in laws and offering to make dinner and the error kept coming up and prevented me from finishing dinner- they weren't impressed to say the least!

Hello, I am hoping someone could please call me in regards to the error message i am recieving on my machine. I sent this message a few months back and although a representative from Thermomix was in contact with me asking me to send my machine to head office I didn't follow through with it because i wasn't causing me too much of a problem. however it is now causing me grief and I can not longer find the email that was sent to me on what I needed to do to send the machine back. Hi I am trying to use my machine, which I used last weekend with no problems at all, and it is coming up first with a C144 error and when i try it again the lid closes but the c160 error comes up and it shuts down. If possible can you advise what to do.

I have also been receiving the c160 error code and the machine shuts down when trying to cook mashed potato.  Very embarrassing and frustrating.  Two meals wrecked!!  It seems like this is a very wide-spread problem.  What now thermomix Aust?  My machine is 18 months old.  Also just received new blades after the shaft of the old ones completely snapped off!  Not impressed with my Thermie so far.  For $2k it needs to be more reliable than that!!

I keep getting C160 errors on my TM5 and also the cookbook chip isnt reading sometimes after i turn the machine back on.

I am getting error messages c561 and c513

Thermomix isn't reading the receipe chip.  I haven't taken the chip off before today and it was working fine this morning. Just wondering if you have any tips I can try 

I have tried turning it off and on, cleaning the connectors but it hasn't made any difference.

Hi, I am getting a C34 and 160 error message constantly too. Right in the middle of cooking it just shuts down. I am a little unhappy. Can anyone please tell me how to get in contact with the service department as I am having trouble getting in contact with the original seller re same :o(

I am getting C160 error too constantly now! This is always right inbetween cooking!! I have had mine for just over 12 months and it's been doing this regularly for the last few days... What do I do?? Tia


Ahhh I am now experiencing c160


Help I don't have a consultant either. Trying to cook risotto the machine comes  up with the 145 or 161error message and just stops. Have to shutdown and go through it all over again. Right at the end with the ingredients all in waiting to be cooked. Aargh. 

 


An update on my error for those interested. Yes, I had the errors, but Thermomix were fantastic in their servicing and turnaround. I had my thermo back within the week and I haven't had any problems since.

My machine is coming up with error C160, as I don't have a consultant hoping I will contacted.

 


Hello, my 18 month old machine had the same problem.  Service experience was exemplary; the consultant was excellent and it got sent off and back again fixed in record time.  Hopefully the problem never comes back, especially when its out of warranty. Puzzled

Mid cooking through the Layered Chicken dinner on the new recipe chip c160 and c144 have just appeared... What do I do now??? HELP please


I kept reading these posts thinking- thank goodness this hasn't happened to me! Sadly my machine has also joined the club. 

Receiving C144, C160 and C561 errors and machine not working at all. Isn't it funny that these things always happen when trying to demonstrate what a wonderful machine it is to others, or when cooking expensive meat? 

I assume that by now these errors are very well known to Thermomix- hopefully that will mean a speedy service. 

I've just emailed my consultant tonight- looking forward to her response (or a response from the service team would be fine! Smile

Can anyone reassure me about their service experience? Was your machine taken in and fixed smoothly? Did the service fix these errors for good? 


I am also having the same problems. Only happens when cooking. Seems that the seal gets hot. Have contacted customer service but no reply yet. Have visitors for dinner tonight and had to keep apologising for my Thermo. What makes it worse is that they are interested in buying a Thermo


I am another with the combination C144 and C160 errors after 18 months of relatively regular use.  I have sent an email and will await a call some time soon. Thank you.

My machine is 6 months old, first problem was eratic scales at initial demo, somewhat disconcerting to have brand new $2K machine sent off for repair.  Now I have C160 error, so machine is off again for repair!!  


well yes !! looks like I am also one with a problem C160 and c144 whilst cooking a soup... timer had finished and getting ready to blend -- machine keeps shutting off.. can anyone help please ????as it is a saturday afternoon and the "customer support centre" will not open again until  8am Tuesday 2nd June long weekend WST. ARGHHH so frustrating
