I used 3 tsp lemon rind instead of the orange rind. 200g sugar. Baked at 200oC for 55 min. So simple and delicious. It comes out like a cake with a soft lemony custard. I will definitely make again. Thanks for the recipe.

  • I've wanted to make this

    Submitted by letstryit on 27. November 2016 - 21:44.

I've wanted to make this recipe for ages and finally retrieved the recipe printout. We used 280g sugar (cut back from the original posting of 330g). I note the recipe has been changed to 200g and I reckon this would be better. Our dinner party guests really enjoyed this dessert served with pain yoghurt. I would have preferred a bit of sauce at the bottom. I'm thinking next time of cutting back on the amount of flour to see if that makes a difference. This is a recommended recipe which meets the criteria of quick and easy.

  • Worked beautifully for me.

    Submitted by sonlou on 12. April 2016 - 21:23.

Worked beautifully for me. Made using lemons only, 150g sugar, SR flour instead of plain/baking powder, and baked for 55 min in a casserole dish which I stood in a larger dish with water.

Thanks for the recipe, I reduced sugar down to 150g, baked as a big pudding. Next time I'll use ramekins, yummo.

Absolutely delicious. I reduced the recipe to a smaller size and used lemons only, much less sugar, a combination of rice and almond milk and gluten free flour and it came out superb. Definitely a fave and new regular for guests. You can whip it up in no time and then just bake whilst eating main meals then it's ready in an hour just in time for dessert!

So quick, easy and yum! I reduced the sugar to 150g and it was still a bit too sweet for my family. Also cooked it in a water bath in the oven which helped with the sensational sauce being cooked.

Absolutely beautiful. I loved the sticky crust that formed. You could half the amount of sugar as it was very sweet. I will definitely be making this again.

  • Pudding is quite nice

    Submitted by TamMcRob on 29. September 2013 - 18:22.

Pudding is quite nice although a little "eggy" but really easy to make.  I made it in advance and it sat on the cupboard for 30min before I put it in the oven.  Next time I would bake it straight away to see if it made any difference.  tmrc_emoticons.) I used the 200g of sugar as per the updated instructions and used about 70ml Orange juce and 55ml Lemon.  Next time I would use more lemon as per the recipe.

Delicious just like the name says.....AND so much easier from the 'olden days' when you had to make it in 3 different bowls and fold in the egg whites etc.  I love the way it separates into a crust on the top with sponge underneath and then that lemon delicious sauce - Just another reason to love your Thermi.

Yum yum yum! This pudding was delicious. It separated when taken out of the oven but then the liquid part seemed to absorb back into the pudding. I think it could have to do with the eggs? I used double the amount of orange zest though because I like it a little more citrusy.

Will definitely be making this again! Love

    Submitted by jaz2902 on 15. July 2013 - 21:09.

This pudding is great! Hubby loves it & I have made it twice already in the last couple of days! First I did orange & lemon, second just lemon - both times lovely. I found it needs a little extra flour (might just be the brand I'm using) and I also cut the sugar down to about 200g. Thanks for sharing  tmrc_emoticons.)

Submitted by Carol Millington on 9. November 2012 - 23:45.

tmrc_emoticons.) Made this tonight with gluten free flour and cut down the sugar to 300gms but could probably still do with even less sugar. I added in the orange rind as per recipe - it is fantastic and so easy to whip up in thermomix. No more whipping the egg whites seperately for me. Loved the crunchy top!

    Submitted by blackwood on 5. August 2012 - 23:51.

I love this recipe and have made it twice in the last week! My daughter asked for it again tonight...It's her favourite dessert! I loved crust that forms on top as the sugar caramelises (hence I recommending cooking it in the oven rather than the varoma if possible!)I was a little worried when putting it into the oven that it wouldn't thicken (it only has a small amount of flour) but I had faith and it turned out perfectly! A five star recipe!Thank you for another awesome recipe! I will be trying all of your recipes, so keep them coming...please???!!!!  Big Smile

I made this recipe and cooked the mixture in the Varoma using a silicon 6 muffin tray and some metal molds. Cooked for 20 mins then checked and cooked for another 10. It doesn't get a nice crust on top, but still tasted great.
