      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    5-3-5 Plum Cordial
  1. 1: Place the plums and water into the Thermomix bowl. 

    2: Select 10 minutes, 100 degrees and Speed 5. After 30 seconds drop the speed down to 3.

    3: Pour the liquid through a sieve to remove any pulp.

    4: Return the liquid to the bowl and add sugar.

    5: Select 10 minutes, 100 degrees and Speed 2.

    6: Once finished the cordial can than be poured into a bottle and stored in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. 

     

    Use as you would regular cordial, however I do find you need very little in a glass of water.

     

    This recipe also works great for making icypoles.

    Thanks for the recipe, I made this with a combo of red and black plums and only put in 250g sugar (i don't like mine too sweet). This is very nice tmrc_emoticons.)
