Sugar Free Extra Spicy Chai Mix

Chai Mix

  • 200 gram milk powder (whole or skim)
  • 2 teaspoons Cardamon, ground
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon, ground
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg, ground
  • 1 teaspoon Cloves, ground
  • 2 teaspoons all spice, ground
  • 1/2 --- cup granulated Splenda

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. Method

    Add all ingredients to TM bowl and mill for  20 sec/sp9

    Store mix in an airtight container

     

    To make a Chai Latte for 1 in TM

    Add 250gm milk to TM bowl

    Add 3 heaped teaspoons of the chai mix

    Heat milk for 3 mins/80°c/sp2 with mc in.

    If you like frothy milk, gradually turn speed up, for 25 secs/sp8

    Pour into a mug and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.

    Alternate method

    Heat a mug of milk in the microwave, add 3 heaped teaspoons Chai Powder & mix well, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar

Tip

to make cinnamon sugar, mix 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon with 2 tablespoons castor sugar.
