Summer slam kiwi melon cocktail

  • 300 grams watermelon
  • Midori
  • Strawberry Cointreau
  • 60 grams vodka
  • 1 bottle Lemonade
  • 2 cups of ice

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    Summer slam kiwi melon cocktail

  1. Peel and quarter kiwi fruit.  Place in TM bowl

    Add 1 cup of ice cubes, 200g lemonade, 20g Midori

    Mix 20 seconds speed 9.  Set aside.

    Wash bowl.  Add diced watermelon, 200g lemonade, 60g vodka, 20g strawberry Cointreau, 1 cup ice cubes.  Mix 20 seconds speed 9

    Set up your cocktail glasses.  

    Fill to approximately 1/3 with kiwi mixture.  

    Fill glass to approx. 2/3 full with straight lemonadePour about half a shot of Midori slowly down the inside of the glass (so it can go to the bottom) Allow to settle for a few seconds.

    Slowly pour watermelon mixture again, along the inside edge of the glass.  Garnish with a slice of fresh watermelon.

Tip

If you don't want the fuss of the layered effect you can simply blend all ingredients for 30 seconds speed 9

    Made these over Christmas and they were delicious! Some people didn't like the slight kiwi pulp so I would recommend straining that for others who feel the same.
