- 1 pods vanilla pod, Cut into 3
- 1 pods star anise
- 1.5 stalks cinnamon quill, Cut into 3
- 1 level teaspoons ground cardamom

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation
- Take all spices and mill on speed 10 for one minute. Stop half way through and ensure all spices have been incorporated and ground to a fine powder.
Add, one cup of raw sugar and mix on reverse"Counter-clockwise operation" for 15 seconds speed 4.
This spice mix is best kept in a glass jar. - To make a glass of Chai, warm a cup of milk and add 1-2 teaspoons of the Vanilla Chai Spice Mix. To your taste.
