Steaming Crabs

  • 8 blue swimmer crabs
  • large bowl iced water

Recipe's preparation

  1. Half fill the mixing bowl with water and heat 5 min/Varoma/speed 2.

  2. Remove, the legs, back and filters from crabs and place the crabs in the Varoma.  Steam 8 min/Varoma/speed 2.

  3. Cool quickly by placing the crabs in a bowl that's sitting in iced water.  When cool enough to handle, remove the white flesh from the shell.

Tip

To serve whole crabs leave legs and back intact and remove filters after steaming.
