Lemon Pepper Chicken Strips

  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 chicken breast
  • 2 teaspoons lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper corns
  • 75 g plain flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • olive oil cooking spray

Recipe's preparation

  1. Step 1 - Combine egg and soy sauce in a large bowl. Add the chicken strips and mix well.


    Step 2 - Put peppercorns, lemon zest, garlic powder and salt into jug and blitz 10 sec / sp 7. Scrap down the sides and add the flour. Blitz again for 2 sec / sp 7. Set aside into a bowl.


    Step 3 - Remove chicken from the egg mix and toss in the flour mix to coat each one well.


    Step 4 - Transfer onto a lined baking tray and spray with a small amout of olive oil. Cook in a hot oven (approx 200°C fan forced), turning once, for 20-25 mins or until golden and cooked through.

    This was nice and tasty. My partner made this one and he liked the ned product but said he found the recipe confusing to follow. It only suggest to preheat the oven in the last steps and doesn't say when to cut the chicken into strips.
