Quick and Easy Pasta

  • 400 grams dried fettuccine pasta
  • 60 grams Almond kernals
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 6 Tomatos, quartered
  • 10 fresh basil leaves
  • 1 tablespoons Veg Stock Paste
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Grated Parmesan Cheese, to serve

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1. Begin cooking pasta according to packet directions. Pasta should nearly cooked when sauce is finished.
    2. Place almonds into TM Bowl and blitz for 8 seconds speed 8, set aside.
    3. Place garlic cloves into bowl and chop for 3 seconds speed 7. Scrape down sides.
    4. Add olive oil, tomatoes, basil leaves, veg stock paste and salt and pepper to taste. Mix 10 seconds speed 8.
    5. Return almonds to the bowl and cook for 10 mins, 100 degrees, speed 1.
    6. Stir sauce through cooked pasta and serve with parmesian cheese, chedder cheese if your kids are fussy like mine. Enjoy!
