Recipe's preparation

  1. Chop onion and garlic for 4 seconds on speed 7. Scrape sides of bowl.

  2. Add oil and saute - 100deg 2 minutes speed 1.

  3. Add vegetables and chop for 3 seconds on speed 5 - do this for longer if you want finer vegetables.

  4. Saute onion and vegetable mix - 100deg 2 minutes speed 2.

  5. Add remaining ingredients except mince to bowl.

Place mince meat in varoma - making sure you leave some gaps to allow

    steam to circulate.

Cook at varoma temp for 20 minutes reverse speed 1.

Two or three times during cooking time, remove the varoma lid and use your spatula to break the mince up.

  6. Check mince and pasta is cooked - you may need to add another 5 minutes cooking time.

  7. In a large bowl mix mince through pasta and sauce. Serve with grated cheese and garlic bread.

This was super yummy. I didnt have any wine so I added 50mls balasmic vinegar plus 1 teaspoon of powdered beef stock. I also added the beef mince in the last 5min to mix it all in. The pasta was overcooked. I was reduce cooking time by 5min. Vegetables: I added 1 x carrot and zucchini.

So I made this tonight. Used Kecap manis but was a little heavy handed with this and the wine (5g more). My husband liked this. First time ever made spaghetti bolognaise in thermomix. The mince was only just cooked by that time. I meant to rate this good but it's not working properly on I-pad.

This is one of the recipes my boys love. I add celery and fresh thermo diced tomatoes instead of tinned tomatoes - also a large tblspn or two of italian herbs - a delivious meal!

I added the cooked mince to the bowl with 5 minutes to go rather than stirring it through later. This recipe was the closest to my usual spag bol recipe and the whole family enjoyed it

  • I added some powdered beef

    Submitted by Rachaelhw on 16. February 2014 - 20:29.

I added some powdered beef stock to increase the flavour.  The pasta was very overcooked, so while I would make it again I would probably do 5 minutes less - the mince seemed to be cooked enough by that stage too so I imagine it would be fine with 15 minutes.  On a good note, my  husband enjoyed it, and he doesn't very often comment much!

  • I found this one a little

I found this one a little bland, my husband ended up putting some salt through it for some flavour - parmesan helped. I did find it nice and hearty though, no need for dessert tmrc_emoticons.D
