Squid Spaghetti

Squid Spaghetti

  • 300 g spaghetti
  • 15 g olive oil
  • 1 eschalot
  • 2 garlic cloves, peeled
  • 3 Sprigs parsley, leaves only
  • 1/2 tsp dried chilli flakes
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 125 g white wine, dry
  • 450 g cleaned squid rings & tentacles

    Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation

  1. Put garlic, parsley, chilli flakes and eshalot into bowl and chop 3sec/sp5, scrape down.
    Add oil and cook 4-5 minutes/varoma/sp1.
    Add tomatoes,tomato paste,wine & Salt and pepper to taste, cook 5 minutes/Varoma/Counter-clockwise operation/sp1.
    Add squid rings and tentacles, cook 5minutes/Varoma/Counter-clockwise operation/sp1.
    Test squid to be sure that it is cooked. Adjust salt and pepper if required.
    While squid is cooking prepare the spaghetti according to the directions on the packet.

I also added a splash of lemon juice in the last step.
