      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    Egg Salad
  1. 1. Put 500g of water into Mixing Bowl. Add eggs into Simmering Basket and steam on Varoma for 14 minutes.

    2. Whist the eggs are steaming, cut bacon into small pieces (1 1/2cm) and brown in a fry pan until crispy.

    3. Cut spring onions into 3cm pieces.

    4. Remove eggs from Basket, empty water from Mixing Bowl. Peel eggs.

    5. Chop spring onions in Mixing Bowl on speed 5 for 3-4 seconds. Scrape down side of Bowl. Add eggs and chop for a further 2 seconds.

    6. Add mayonnaise, salt & pepper to taste and bacon. Mix on reverse on speed 3 for 5 seconds
