      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. Place garlic and olive oil in bowl.
    3 minutes, Varoma Temp, Speed 4
  2. Add water and salt.
  3. Place empty basket inside bowl.
    7 minutes, Varoma Temp, Speed 1
  4. Without opening lid, pour rice into bowl through the hole.
    13 minutes, Varoma Temp, Speed 4
  5. After every 3-4 minutes, stir rice. Add a little more salt directly onto the rice at the first stir.
  6. Take basket out and tip into large dish.
    Fluff up and leave to stand for 2 minutes before serving.
