Mango and sesame coleslaw

Dressing Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1 tsp castor sugar
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp tahini

Salad Ingredients

  • 4 mangos, ripe, cubed
  • 2 large carrots
  • 1/4 small green cabbage
  • 1/4 Small Red Cabbage
  • 6 green onions, Spring, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds

      Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation

    Method for salad ingredients

    Put chunks of red cabbage and carrot in the Closed lid. Chop 2 sec/ speed 5. Check and if desired add another second at speed 5.  Use spatula to scrape down sides of Closed lid.

    Put chunks of green cabbage in the bowl. Chop 2 sec/ speed 5.

    (as above)

    Place in salad bowl.

    Add mango cubes, sliced spring onions and the sesame seeds into salad bowl.

    Add the dressing and toss and serve.

  2. Method for salad dressing


    To make the dressing, combine all dressing ingredients in Closed lid.  Mix ingredients 1min 30 sec /speed 4. Place MC onto TM lid.
