Orange Syrup

  • 100 grams sugar, milled
  • 50 grams water
  • 50 grams orange juice

  • 1 lemon, juice only
  • 397 grams can of sweetened condensed milk
  • 125 grams Yogurt, thick style

Recipe's preparation

    Orange Syrup
  1. Mill the sugar till fine (speed 7 for about 20 seconds). Add the water and cook on Varoma temperature for 10 min. on speed 1. The colour should be a rich amber colour, then add the orange juice SLOWLY whilst blades are turning. The syrup can be stored, covered, in the frige for several weeks.

  3. Mill the Orange zest until fine., add the Orange and Lemon juice, the condensed milk and the yoghurt and combine on speed 1 for about 1 min. - set aside. Whip the cream for about 15 seconds with the butterfly in place until just thickened. Fold the cream and the yoghurt mixture together gently on speed soft for 30 seconds or so. Spoon the mixture into ramakins or glasses and cover the with cling film and freeze overnight. Remove pots from freezer 30 min. before serving with a drizzle of the syrup on top.

I doubled the amounts as we had guest over but only had one can of condensed milk on hand. Very frustrating when you realize that at the last minute:/ Nevertheless it stilled tasted delicious with just the one. This is a keeper. Thank you
