Recipe's preparation
Add garlic, ginger, onion, corriander, cumin, tumeric, chilli flakes and 80g water to TMX bowl. Cook on speed 2, 100 degrees, 2 minutes.
Add stock, water and tomato paste. Cook on speed 2, 100 degrees, 7 minutes or until boiling.
Add steak. Cook on reverse, speed spoon, 100 degrees, 30 minutes, MC ON.
After this cooking time, cook for a further 20 minutes, reverse, speed spoon, VAROMA temp, MC OFF *** this is to reduce the sauce so its nice and thick! Watch it closely, at 20 minutes check to see if the meat is tender and there is still a small amount of gravy left It is not a saucy curry but you dont want the beef to abdorb all of the liquid

I 100% failed this recipie. Not sure how / why! It was very very runny, as in lots of liquid and my meat was tough. Possible the type of meat I got. But chuck normally works well for me. I gave rating for how yummy it smells

I made this last night and it was perfect. The beauty of it is that most of the items are pantry items so it is an easy meal to make. I did however, add a bit of a cornflour mix towards the end because mine didn't seem to thicken up much. I used casserole steak which turned out nice as well. Will definitely make this again.

This went down a treat with my husband as there wasn't too much liquid in it. He said it tasted just like the Indian restaurants make it. It was easy and delicious!

I have not cooked this recipe as yet but will in the next couple of weeks as sounds delicious.
I have cooked quite a few of recipes in the community and if I find they are too watery or too bland I just adjust the recipe to my taste.

Bila: Can I ask how you would feel if you got this sort of feedback on a recipe that you submitted? Especially when all of your other reviews were positive? There is no need to be so rude. State that it wasn't your taste and where it failed for you (ever think this might be something you did by the way), but dont be so horrible.

For me, this was a little bland but that's probably because I didn't add chilli due to the kids.
This was more of a beed stew
This was more of a beed stew to me my partner liked it but I wasn't too keen

Brilliant. Made with real
Brilliant. Made with real onion, garlic, ginger and the TMX Vegetable stock (as I had ran out of Beef Stock) and the kids absolutely loved it, they never eat anything...so that's saying something. We added the chilli flakes to our own (as the children don't handle the heat) and it was delicious! Adding this to our Family favs.
I found it a bit bland and
I found it a bit bland and very watery sorry
Absolute rubbish. Tastes
Absolute rubbish. Tastes awful, grainy and watery... I know... I can keep boiling it to thicken the sauce. The shame of it all is I'm cooking it for a crowd. Made the skinnymixers butter chicken before so thought this would be as delicious especially With all the ratings. The upside is I made the butter chicken as well. Can't feed this to anyone, will have to start from scratch and make a different Madras recipe and possibly move the 4 kilos of meat across. Can't believe others gave this such high ratings. It tastes like dirty grainy water. Blekh!!!
LOVED IT! Used 1 onion, small
LOVED IT!
Used 1 onion, small amount of ginger and one clove of garlic instead of using powdered ingredients. Mine thickened up well with the MC off as per last step.
Thanks for the recipe

Made this tonight, it was so
Made this tonight, it was so so. Quick , easy but lacked flavour. Would have preferred to use "real" onions, garlic , ginger. Too much liquid, lacked thickness and was floury in texture. Will try again as the kids loved it.
Just cooked this for tomorrow
Just cooked this for tomorrow night but the aroma was amazing.. so had to do a taste test!! O.M.G.! It's just GORGOUS!! definitely on my fave list! SO SO good!! <3

i didn't mind this recipe.
i didn't mind this recipe. However after the 50 mins of cooking it the flavour had almost disappeared. The meat was tender and fell to bits in my mouth.
Was still quite Watery also.

ive had my thermie for 3 years and this was the best thing I've cooked so far. Cheers for the recipe. This will now be a regular.
Just fabulous. Really easy
Just fabulous. Really easy and so tasty. I added a large potato at the beginning and bulked the meat (only had 450g) with a carrot and (at final 20 min) a courgette. The potato disintegrated but made the sauce thick, so that worked well. I added 420g of water as per comments and thought the first 80g was part of the 500g? I put in a tbl of stock concentrate and a 'real' beef stock gel packet which was perhaps a tad salty. Will definately make again. Thank you so much for posting.
Delicious!!

So delicous. I only found it because it suited all the random ingredients I handy.
Once again skinnymixers saves the day!
Just delicious! I used real
Just delicious! I used real onion and garlic and threw in some spinach in the thermoserver at the end with the beef while I was making the cauliflower rice. I only had about 500gm of beef and found it needed about an extra 10 mins to thicken the sauce with a bit of added cornflour. Was even better the next day as leftovers!
Delicious! We used blade
Delicious! We used blade steak and cooked a little longer but came out beautiful and tender. Thanks for the recipe.
Awesome Curry! I ended up
Awesome Curry! I ended up keeping the amount of liquid and just added cornflour to thicken! It was great!

Oops, I accidently didn't put
Oops, I accidently didn't put it on varoma temperature for the last 20 mins & it was all watery but the flavour was lovely, so I'll try again another day & do it properly!
Delicious, I didn't have
Delicious, I didn't have quite as much meat so just reduced the water amount a bit but kept all other measurements the same. I did the last 20 mins as 15 & 5 just to keep an eye on the thickness of the sauce but still required the full 20 mins. Will definitely be doing this one again
Died and gone to heaven.
Died and gone to heaven.
This is a go to recipe for me now...
Might even dream about this ...
Have done it with rump and chuck steak. The chuck steak understandably was more robust but not in the least bit chewy...think I like it even more than with the rump.
:)love the smells in my
love the smells in my kitchen ! Used some cubed potato and spinach in final stage as that's what we like! Oh and chicken thigh in place of beef - yummy!
I decided to cook this as in
I decided to cook this as in the recipe as I had all the ingredients. We loved it. It was so easy. We served it with cauliflower rice, beans and sweet potato. I did add 200g chopped mushrooms during the 20 mins Varoma temp.

Yummy! I added leftover roast veges towards the end. Beautiful flavours. Definitely will be making this again. Thanks for sharing.
My family and I love this
My family and I love this curry. I use real onion and ginger and add cubed potato to make it go a bit further and so its not just beef and sauce.. Kids always go back for 2nds and 3rds!
Had no beef concentrate so
Had no beef concentrate so used the vegetable I had and used 2 beef cubes in 500ml water, served on mashed potato for something different, had on veroma for an extra 5 mins to thinken a little more. Delicious!!! Thumbs up all round, this will definatly appear at the dinner table again!

LOVED loved loved this. So
LOVED loved loved this. So easy and delicious, and my fuss guts kid ate it with no issues. Thank you
This is a great recipe if you
This is a great recipe if you are relying on pantry staples but I found it had a bit of a powdery after taste. I would prefer to use real onion, garlic, ginger and tomatoes. Loved the idea of cauliflower rice. First time I've made it and really enjoyable.
Loved this recipe. Served it
Loved this recipe. Served it with mashed potato. It all went! No leftovers at all.
