Ingredients

8 portion(s)

savory mince

  • 2 clove garlic
  • 1 bunch herbs of choice, eg parsley, oregano, basil
  • 1 --- small brown onion or half of large
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 900 grams good beef mince, mince it yourself from good rump steak see edc
  • 40 grams Bbq sauce, home made if you have it
  • 30 grams Worcestershire sauce, home made if you have it see my recipe
  • 50 grams tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 300 grams water, thats 3 MCs
  • 1 tablespoon vegie stock concentrate
  • 1 tablespoon gravox
  • 2 tablespoon cornflour
  • 50 grams water, about half a MC

vegie mash

  • 1000 grams mixed vegetables of choice, ie potato, parsnip ,sweet potato, carrot pumpkin zucchini 1-2 cm cubed
  • 50-100 grams Milk
  • 50 grams Butter

cheesy top

  • 200 grams grated cheese

Recipe's preparation

  1. place cubed cheese into TM bowl and grate, 4 secs speed 6, set aside, wash and dry bowl

  2. savory mince.

    place garlic, onion , herbs and onion into TM bowl and chop 2secs speed 7 scrape down sides and olive oil and cook 3 mins varoma speed 1

    add mince and all other ingredients of savory mince except gravox, cornflour and extra water.

    put lid on TM bowl and place varoma dish with mixed vegies on top with lid and cook 35 mins Counter-clockwise operation varoma  speed 2-3 

    when cooked put vegies aside while adding gravox, cornflour and extra water to mince and mix through 10 secs speed 3 Counter-clockwise operation

    put savory mince into large rectangular dish 

    put vegies into TM bowl and mash chop 5 secs speed 5, put butterfly  add butter and milk  and mix further 10-15secsspeed 3 til fluffy

    top mince with mashed vegies and spoon over grated cheese

    bake in 180deg oven for 20 mins til browned

    serve with salad and crispy bread

Tip

great for hiding vegies with fussy kids, great the next day good for a crowd.

make a soup in the dirty TM bowl will help to clean it after!

    Unfortunately I didn’t like this at all. Mince was all like a mush and potato-veggie mix like a glue. Might be a good baby food but not dinner for adults. Disappointed.

    love the flavour of this savory mince. my mince cooked into mush too, so i might cook it in a pan next time as hubby said it was like eating baby food. lol. I used this mince recipe for a crepe filling with melted cheese. yum.

    Great flavour Savory mince. I used mince from woollies and it cooked up like mush so I left veggies whole instead of mashing them too. Served as savory mince and vege.
