I didn't have enough juice so topped it up with tropical juice I had in the fridge. I iced it with passion fruit icing. It is definitely a recipe I will make again. Very nice flavour.

    Love my thermomix!

  • I don't know what I did wrong

    Submitted by Kelstar77 on 17. June 2015 - 18:28.

I don't know what I did wrong with this recipe but in all my years of cooking I have never encountered such a disaster. The batter was complete liquid which I read was normal. I had my oven down lower than your suggested temp because I know my oven well and it would have burnt the cake in that first half hour before covering. My cake was in for 1.5 hours....... complete slop in the middle while the outer casing was fairly dark and rubbery, suffice to say it went in the bin tmrc_emoticons.-( I am trying to decide whether I try making this again as the other reviews rav about. It sounds like a lovely cake but I just don't want to waste more ingredients.

  • The cake mixture was so

    Submitted by Sydney on 26. August 2014 - 11:39.

The cake mixture was so liquid that I thought I must have made a mistake with the measurements. I really didn't think this would work ... but it did and is so delicious and moist.  Would be perfect with a dollop of cream.  tmrc_emoticons.)

    Submitted by ssgas on 5. August 2014 - 19:52.

I was looking for a recipe to use up some oranges I had and this was absolutely delightful. I didn't need to cover it with foil half way through cooking, it baked perfectly. Once baked, it's quite a dense cake but it's perfect with a side serving of double cream. Will definitely be a regular in our household now, thank you for sharing.

Made this today for an afternoon tea with family.

Lovely and moist. A little zesty for me, but that's a personal taste thing and no reflection on a great recipe. tmrc_emoticons.)

  • I made this for some guests

    Submitted by nellanuts on 27. April 2014 - 20:10.

I made this for some guests that dropped in this afternoon - worked a treat!  I combined the juice weight of the orange and lemon as my lemon was a bit "light on" and it still was sensational.  I'm loving my new toy!

  • Hi there   Some peelers do

Submitted by nicky parsons on 27. September 2013 - 00:05.

    Hi there

Some peelers do take off a little too much and then you have the white too, which you are correct does make things a little bitter.  Maybe try out a different peeler or failing that just use a grater to zest the ornage or a micro plane.  The reason I use the potato peeler is really just to save time in washing up and also my knuckles so I don't grate them too.  Hope you understand what I am saying.  Enjoy

  •  Hi Nicky, find your recipe

    Submitted by Thermo-Tom on 25. September 2013 - 18:19.

     Hi Nicky,

find your recipe right now and it sounds very interesting.

Bur i have one question, when i peel the orange and lemon with a potatoe peeler i have on the backside of the zest the white skin of the fruits. Is that ok or is it better to try peeling without this white skins. I seem to remember that this white peel/skin makes everything bitter.

Thank your for respond and apologize my bad english

    Kind regards, Tom from Germany
