Recipe is created for
TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation
Place all the sauce ingredients, except the cornflour, into the thermi bowl.
Place the basket into thermi bowl with washed rice.
Then varoma, with the veggies on the bottom layer and sausages on the top layer (I did rub the top layer with a little oil prior to putting the sausages on).
Cooked for 23mins at varoma temp on speed 2.5
Then checked sausages were cooked through (did originally do it for 20mins but found it needed that extra 3mins). Took varoma off and rice out.
Blitzed the sauce with lid and measuring cup on for 10sec on speed 8. Then added 100g more of water. Added the cornflour to the sauce and mixed 1min30sec on speed 4. Checked for desired thickness.
And served rice, sausages, vegies and poured sauce over top! Enjoy!

Lovely flavour. My husband
Lovely flavour. My husband made this recipe and said it was pretty easy. He also added a Granny Smith cut into cubes. We had it for dinner and it was delicious and froze the leftovers. Thanks for sharing.

That is very odd aichan81, I have never had this issue... do you have a 31 or 5? Would love to help you fix this...
The sauce was delicious, I
The sauce was delicious, I added coconut milk to make the spice a bit milder for the kids. However, the sausages and rice didnt cook. I cooked for 15mins longer but still wasnt cooked, I transfered to rice cooker and fry pan to finish off the job.
Yes it is, instead you could
Yes it is, instead you could add a little bit of dijonaise and cornflour. It just is a flavour adder and thickener.
Is it ok to do this recipe
Is it ok to do this recipe without the gravox?
I love this recipe and how
I love this recipe and how the gravy hides the vegetables. It is a regular in our home.
Made this earlier last week
Made this earlier last week after seeing the good reviews. Was quite impressed with how the sauce mixture came out - most recipes I've tried have quite a thin sauce but this was a really good one for me. Thanks for the recipe!
I used full-size sausages so will try either chipolata sausages or cut sausages into chunks & mix through sauce for a few minutes next time. Will also add some more curry next time as I found 1 tablespoon wasn't enough for me & my partner likes really hot curry. My only real issue was the rice - it came out quite bland, so will try adding some salt & pepper and see how that goes.

I'm sure it would be doable,
I'm sure it would be doable, but would require you to adjust the sauce in the bowl. As the TM5 has a larger bowl size. Basically you need enough sauce in the bowl to prevent it boiling dry and make the sauce.
Hi... Can this recipe be
Hi...
Can this recipe be done in the TM31?
Thanks

Great meal. I didnt put as much curry powder in it to make it toddler friendly and i didnt have cauliflower but added some sweet potato and green beans. Was very yummy
Thanks all, I'm glad you are
Thanks all, I'm glad you are all enjoying this meal. Thanks for the feedback, I have changed to say small zucchini and onion, I guess it all depends on what size we all buy and how we manage to fit it all in. So thank you all for giving it a go and giving such valuable feed back. We are looking forward to this easy meal after a busy day tomorrow.
Made this for dinner last
Made this for dinner last night. Turned out great. As mentioned by Alix, I had a little trouble fitting all the veggies in the bowl under the steamer basket. So I removed some zuchini pieces and steamed them with the other veggies. I replaced them before blitzing the sauce, and found I had to blitz it twice to get it smooth. Might add a little chilli next time to give it more heat, but everything turned out perfectly cooked.
Had this for dinner tonight.
Had this for dinner tonight. I love all in one dishes, they are just so easy. Really lovely recipe. I started it and then realised I only had about a teaspoon of curry powder. I added some of my "Your Inspiration At Home" chimmichirri spice blend to it. Also had a problem putting my rice basket in with the onions and zucchini and potato in the bowl as well. I removed some and got the simmering basket right and added the left over veg to the bottom of the Varoma and put the sausages on the top layer of the varoma.
Thanks so very much, I really
Thanks so very much, I really appreciate you taking the time to write such amazing words. I am so glad your family enjoyed this as much as my family do!
I made this last week and we
I made this last week and we all thought it was great. I used a level tablespoon of curry powder because my two boys can only handly a little heat/spice and I didn't want lots of wastage. It was beautiful the next day, and one meal was frozen and reheated perfectly later on in the week.
I'm not a fan of sausage skins, but they were so soft (not elastic-y) and I didn't notice them at all while I was eating.
We'll definitely be making this one again. It was my first all-in-one meal using the varoma and basket/bowl etc, and I was very impressed. Thank you!
