  • 100 grams block cheese, Diced into small cubes
  • 250 grams pasta of choice, Penne/Macaroni/Shell, gluten free if needed
  • 40 grams unslated butter
  • 500 grams Milk
  • 40 grams plain flour, Gluten free if needed
  • 1 level tsp salt, Optional
  • 1 dash black pepper

      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid.       If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation

    Method
  1. 1.Add cheese to your Thermomix and chop 5 seconds on speed 7, set aside.

    2.Without washing the bowl, add butter, milk , flour and salt and pepper, set your TM6 to Thicken. If you have a TM31 or TM5 make a bechamel using which ever recipe suits your machine.

    3.Whilst your bechamel is cooking either boil your kettle and cook your pasta in a thermal to just under. Or if you don't have a thermal server cook the pasta however you would normally to just under. It will cook, further in the oven so don't overcook it.

    Once your bechamel is ready, add your tin of tuna and your pasta.

    Set your Thermomix to 15 seconds on reverse, speed 3 to incorporate.

    Pour into a casserole dish and top with grated cheese.

    Bake for 15 to 20 minutes at 200 degrees, pop the grill on for the last 5 to brown the cheese.

    We've added corn kernels, spring onions and spinach before as well.
