If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 200*C. Grease a baking dish and set aside.

Place onion into mixing bowl and chop 3 secs/speed 7.

Add bacon and butter and saute 5 mins/120*C/Speed 2.

Transfer to another bowl and set aside.

Place milk, Salt & Pepper, Flour, Baking Powder and Eggs into mixing bowl and mix 15 sec/speed 4.

Add Cheese and Bacon, Onion and Butter to mixing bowl and mix 30 sec/Speed 3/reverse mix.

Pour mixture into baking dish and bake for 30 mins.

    Serve hot or cold.

Can use flaky puff pastry underneath for a pie instead of quiche.

Nice topped with sliced tomatoes and/or chopped parsley.

Freezes well.

Nice recipe however the mixture was quite runny so only added 1 cup of milk. Also added garlic, tarragon, thyme and parsley.
