Beer Quickbread

To make dough:

  • 350 g self-raising flour
  • 1 pinches salt
  • 30 g Butter, diced
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 beer, (1/2 cup)
  • 1/2 water, (1/2 cup)

      Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipe's preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 210c.
  2. Add flour, salt, butter & sugar to bowl. Mix 5 sec / speed 6.
  3. Add beer & water to bowl. Mix 5 sec / speed 6.
  4. Dough mode1 minute 30 secs
  5. Divide mixture into 4 and shape into balls. Place onto a prepared tray.
  6. Score the tops of each ball into a cross.
  7. Brush with milk & sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  8. Bake for 15 minutes or until browned.
