- 225 g Self Raising Flour
- 120 g caster sugar
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder, (Omit if wanting a vanilla cake)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 60 g vegetable oil, (One with no taste like canola or sunflower)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 250 g Milk, (I use soy or rice, but can be any milk)

Recipe is created for
TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation
1. Preheat oven to 150 degrees C.
TM Method
Add wet ingredients followed by dry ingredients into TM bowl
Mix 30 s, speed 4
Add fruit or choc bits and fold through
Bake as per other recipe
Traditional mixer Cake recipe
Sift all dry ingredients together. Add wet ingredients and mix on high for a couple of minutes till smooth.
Bake at 150 degrees C for about 40-45 minutes. (times can vary for different ovens) Use skewer to test.
Round or Log pan - 45 min
Muffin Tin - 27 min
Mini Cupcake tin - 10 min
Double batch (testing in TM5) - 80 min
1/2 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
Substitute 1/2 milk with equivalent fruit juice (I have used orange juice and passionfruit strained)
1/2-1 cup chocolate chips
