Tam Andrews: Did you end up solving the problem with the runny caramel? I've had the same problem. I left my pie in overnight and it still ran all over the place. Cry

  • This is a great tasting pie

Submitted by Tam Andrews on 27. June 2015 - 17:05.

This is a great tasting pie but my caramel also didn't thicken up enough even after an extra 3-4 mins. When I cut the pie, it started to ooze out. So I'm guessing I may need to just keep cooking for longer - also wondered if it should have been cooked without the mc in place. I think I remember doing fudge without the mc. Anyway, if anyone has solved the problem here, would love to hear from you! Thanks for the recipe!!

  • Absolutely delicious. I

Absolutely delicious. I forgot to put the butterfly attachment in when making the caramel but it still turned out beautiful. When assembling I felt like there was too much base to the amount of caramel but it balanced the sweetness of the caramel perfectly.

  • Although you cook the caramel

    Submitted by janinewood on 1. December 2013 - 02:21.

Although you cook the caramel until it thickens - you are still able to pour it & it will thicken as it cools down & sets.

  • I am attempting to make this

    Submitted by khitz on 9. November 2013 - 16:20.

I am attempting to make this dessert - but the caramel did not thicken at all in that time, what could the reason be for that. I have added on another 5 mins and put it on speed 3 and it's SLOWLY thickening - still new to the Thermie - is there a trick?????
