Chewy Chocolate Slice

  • 125 grams Butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 50 grams Coconut
  • 215 grams brown sugar
  • 115 grams plain flour

Icing

  • 150 grams white sugar
  • 15 grams Butter
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • dashes Milk, To make it spreadable
  • Coconut, To sprinkle on top

      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid.       If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation

    Chewy Chocolate Slice
  1. 1. Add butter to thermomix bowl and melt for 2 minutes 60 degrees speed 1

    2. Add the rest of the slice ingredients and mix for 10 sec REVERSE (Counter-clockwise operation) speed 3

    3. Scrape down sides and repeate for another 5 sec REVERSE (Counter-clockwise operation) speed 3.


    4. pop into small tray and bake on 160deg for approx 20 min.


    5. it will look soft and uncooked, but be sure not to over cook it. If the edges are crispy it's cooked.


    Icing:

    1. add the white sugar to your clean bowl and mill for 20 sec speed 9 (to make icing sugar)

    2. Add the butter and cocoa and a splash of milk and mix for 10 seconds on speed 4

    3. stop and scrape your bowl and see if you need to add more milk.


    4. add milk if needed and mix again 10 seconds speed 4.


    5. spread on cooled slice and sprinkle with coconut

    6. enjoy 😊
