Choc muffins

  • 80 grams raw sugar
  • 150 grams Rice Bran Oil
  • 370 grams Milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 310 grams Self Raising Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Bicarb. Soda
  • 40 grams cocoa
  • 100 grams choc chips

    Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation

  1. Preheat oven 200 degrees & prep muffin tins

  2. Mill sugar on speed 9 for 4 seconds

  3. Add the rest of the ingredients in order up to (but not including) choc chips & mix on speed 5 for 5 seconds

  4. Add choc chips & mix on reverse speed 4 for 5 seconds

  5. Spoon out into muffin tins (I get 18 in my silicon medium sized muffin moulds) & bake for 20 minutes

  6. Rest in the tin for 5 minutes before turning out to cool on rack.



These freeze well for lunch boxes, also work well in mini tins. I've made them without cocoa (although the kids prefer the double choc!) & have used almond milk as a substitute which works just as well
