Chocolate Coconut Slice

  • 125 grams Butter
  • 175 grams brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 5 grams vanilla extract
  • 155 grams flour, self-raising
  • 45 grams dessicated coconut
  • 25 grams cocoa powder

      Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation

  1. Preheat oven 180 degrees and line a slice tin with baking paper
    Melt butter 50 degrees/4mins/stir speed
    Let butter cool
    Add brown sugar, egg and vanilla mix 30sec/speed 3
    Scrape down sides of bowl
    Add SR flour, cocoa, coconut mix 30sec/speed 3
    Pour into slice tray and bake approx. 25mins
  2. Icing
  3. Mix icing sugar, cocoa and oil 10 sec/speed 3
    Slowly add water through MC hole until icing reaches a spreading consistency.
    Spead over cooled slice and sprinkle with coconut to finish.
