If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation
- 1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees
2. Grease and line a loaf tin with baking paper
3. Add dates and ginger to bowl, chop 5 seconds, speed 5
4. Add next ingredients in the following order: butter, raw sugar, bi-carb, boiling water. Mix 10 seconds, speed 4 "Counter-clockwise operation"
5. Add flour and mix 5 seconds, speed 4 "Counter-clockwise operation"
6. Pour into lined tin, bake for 50 minutes until top has gone dark brown.
7. Cool on rack, slice and enjoy!

Tip
This cake is super easy to prepare and could easily be converted to dairy and gluten free by swapping the butter to another lightly flavoured oil and gluten free flour.
